English Ash Rice Bowl

Steep-walled bowl in English ash. The form was inspired by the rice bowls so iconic of East Asian cuisine. Steep walls keep heat in and allow the bowl to nestle perfectly into the palm. 

The foot and bottom of the bowl exhibit beautiful olive-ash heartwood whilst the walls are yellowy cream. The contrast is pleasing on the eye and its functional design make it built for purpose.
