Tower of London Plane

This is a very special piece of wood. This slab of London plane came from a bough of a tree that grew at the Tower of London. I was only able to acquire one piece and so this platter is totally unique in provenance and history. Mellow brown grains are interspersed with reddish knots and touches of lacewood around the rim. Truly a one-off! The platter also cured into a soft wavy form, adding to its character even further.
